Cold Plunge Procedure
Here’s what you can expect during your cold plunge experience:
Before Your Plunge:
- Consultation: Our staff will discuss your goals and any health conditions you may have to ensure the cold plunge is safe and appropriate for you. We will ask you to fill and signed a waiver.
- Preparation: We recommend you bring a towel and flip flops (if you don’t have these, we will take care of), and any other necessary items.
- Take a bath
The Cold Plunge Experience:
- Gradual Entry: Safety is our priority. We recommend a gradual entry, allowing your body to adjust to the cold water (typically between 10-15°C).
- Controlled Time: The recommended immersion time for beginners is 1-3 minutes. Our staff will guide you and monitor your experience.
- Breathing Techniques: Focusing on deep, controlled breathing can help manage the initial shock of the cold water.
After Your Plunge:
- Warm Up: We will provide you with a comfortable space to gradually return to your normal body temperature.
- Relaxation: Take some time to relax and enjoy the invigorating effects of the cold plunge.
Important Considerations:
- Safety First: Please inform our staff of any pre-existing health conditions, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or uncontrolled diabetes, before attempting a cold plunge.
- Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to how you feel during the plunge. If you experience any discomfort, such as dizziness, lightheadedness, or chest pain, exit the pool immediately and inform a staff member.
- Start Slow: If you’re new to cold plunge therapy, it’s best to start with shorter durations and gradually increase the time as you become more comfortable.
